Post-traumatic edema treatment

In any trauma, there is a recovery process and inflammation. Due to the mediators of inflammation, the lymphatic vessels are "slowed down." With manual lymphatic drainage, we can help "unblock" this slowdown, the edema in the area decreases, the transit space improves, and therefore the tissue experiences less stress, thus reducing the possibility of infections and healing problems, as well as decreasing pain.

For all these reasons, in cases of trauma or after surgical interventions, manual lymphatic drainage is a tool that aids in the patient's recovery.
